KANCHANABURI, Thailand: A second straight 65 sent Panuphol Pittayarat to the top of the leaderboard as stormy weather brought a premature end to proceedings at the TGA SINGHA-SAT Kanchanaburi Championship on Saturday.

One of five joint leaders after the opening day, Panuphol traded seven birdies with two bogies over the Blue Sapphire Golf & Resort layout to move to the head of the pack heading into the final round.

Countryman Vuttivit Charoenpornanukul closed out a 65 late in the day to join Panuphol on ten-under par.

“Today’s round wasn’t as good as yesterday, but I managed to sink some good putts,” said Panuphol, who won the Thailand Open in 2018.

“The plan for tomorrow is more of the same, try to find fairways and greens.”

Settee Prakongvech lay one shot adrift of the leading duo when the rains arrived. He will return to the course at 7am Sunday to close out his final three holes.
